Kingfisher with minnow
Sunday—Cooler at last. A strong southerly wind has swept away the oppressive humidity of the past few days. Thank goodness! Early morning found me at Tophill Low once again. Seem to be obsessed at the moment with photographing the local Kingfishers. This wonderful and colourful bird made a great show for almost an hour. Pity then that it spent much of its time fishing amongst the reeds, where it was very difficult to photograph. This image was taken with a 500mm lens plus a 1.7 tele-converter.
