Kingfisher-feeding

Kingfisher-feeding, originally uploaded by Tony McLean.

July and August are my least favourite months. I’d rather be wet and cold than too hot. Now if I was a Kingfisher and could take a cooling dip every ten minutes, I would be in heaven. This morning was hot and misty. I was just about to pack up and get to work, when this young Kingfisher appeared at North Marsh hide at Tophill Low. The big bonus this time was that it had a fish in its beak. Made my day!
