Buck Roe Deer

Buck Roe Deer, originally uploaded by Tony McLean.

An eventful evening at Tophill Low. Great light and calm conditions for a change. I saw a red fox out of the corner of my eye and waited for it to pass by. Unfortunately, the fox must have chosen a different route. Never mind, a lone buck Roe deer ambled across the narrow causeway between the lake and I managed to take a sequence of several photographs. A Grey Heron flew in but was immediately chased away by a couple of Lapwings. An Oyster Catcher with two chicks was present and there were several Little Ringed Plovers dashing about on the lake shore.
